Varicose vein treatment

When the valves in the superficial veins do not work properly it causes to blood pooling in the legs. This blood pooling leads to increased pressure, resulting in enlarged, tortuous veins under the skin, called varicose veins. Varicose veins most often develop in the legs. People who have jobs that requires standing for long periods of time are at greater risk of developing varicose vein.

Varicose veins can cause to throbbing leg pain, swelling, leg fatigue, skin changes, blood clots (deep vein thrombosis) and venous ulcers. Depending on the severity of the condition, our associate doctors provide latest, state of art varicose vein treatment procedures including laser treatments, radiofrequency ablation and microphlebectomies. Our surgeons capable of treat all vein disorders including varicose veins, venous insufficiency, ulcers and spider veins. After an evaluation by doppler, our doctor will determine the cause of varicose veins and discuss the treatment options.

Minimally Invasive Treatments

Sclerotherapy is a method of injecting varicose veins with a solution. Spider veins can be treated with sclerotherapy. Spider veins are blue and reddish thin veins that appear close to the skin surface.

Laser treatments such as endovenous laser treatment (EVLT) are performed to remove unsightly spider veins. A laser beam is applied to veins which causes the vessel walls to coagulate and then disappear.

Miniphlebectomy is a procedure used to treat large varicose veins. Very small incisions are made to reöove large varicose veins near the surface of the skin. Incisions are small and usually do not require stitches.
